My Story

hi! my name is Vanessa or Dory, call me what makes sense to you. i decided to create this blog because i just love writing. My life has had its fair share of ups and downs and i overcome by writing them all down. trust me when i say putting it out there for the world won't be easy but it'll be worth it.

i'm a regular degular schmegular girl from the Bronx, or whatever Cardi B said lol anyway, i'm a regular girl from the hood. i moved to the suburbs to give my kids a better life and i like to think i've succeeded in that aspect. i was married for 15 yrs and my husband suddenly died on March 9th 2021. my entire world came crashing down. i lost all sense of myself as a woman, a wife and a mom. at the moment i'm writing this it's been exactly 18 months since my husband died and some days i have my shit together and others i can barely get by. if you stick around you'll see what i mean.........now, on to the writing!
